First day at work:

Maria Cristina: Ida Luz, my name is María Cristina. Mrs. Castillo asked me to show you around.

Ida Luz: It´s nice to meet you.

Maria Cristina: Follow me. I´ll start the tour at the front desk. This is where we meet customers when they come to the office.

Ida Luz: It´s a nice area, customers probably like it.

Maria Cristina: Mrs. Castillo´s office is by the window. You can ask her questions any time.

Ida Luz: It´s nice to have a boss with an open door policy.

Maria Cristina: Yes, It´s great. To the left is the Human Resources Department. You can drop off your contract and other employment papers there later.

Ida Luz: How should I ask for in HR?

Maria Cristina: Ask for Luz Adriana. She handles all of the new employees. Just past HR is the cafeteria. If you have time this week, I´ll treat you to lunch and introduce you to the other representatives.

Ida Luz: I´d like that. Is the food good there?

Maria Cristina: It´s pretty good and reasonable too. Next, this hallway is where you can find the bathrooms and the meeting rooms.

Ida Luz: What meetings are held there?

Maria Cristina: We have our weekly sales meeting there.

Ida Luz: This is a big office.

Maria Cristina: It´s big, but we´re almost done. Last, but not least, here is the sales division. There are fourteen of us that share this space, but we each have our own cubicle.

Ida Luz: Sounds great.

Maria Cristina: Well, Ida Luz, it was nice meeting you. I´ll leave you at your desk. The papers you need to fill out for Human Resources are on your desk.

Ida Luz: Thanks for the tour, María Cristina.  J

Put in order

The teacher takes the dialogue and divides it into several sections (or as many sections as there are students in the class). Each student gets one section of the story.  Students must then move around the class and by listening to each section read aloud, decide where in the story their section belongs.  Eventually the students have to put the entire story together in the correct sequence.
